  • I thoroughly enjoyed reading all about TM Martin in the new bio by Toni Graeme. What an interesting and exciting life! He was a man of action and obvious talent. It was fascinating to read of his travels across Canada and life as an artist. The photos of his paintings were especially wonderful, some of which I had seen before but many were brand new to me.  I felt I got to know the man and his times. It's a book I will reread   Janet in PEI
  • Thomas Mower Martin has always, to me, been one of the first Artists to record an important part of Canadian History, on canvas and paper. When I found this little Gem “The Father Of Canadian Art” by Toni Graeme, I finished reading it and came away having a good feeling of knowing this great Artist even better. He left us his legacy of His great Love for this Country. Thank You for writing it Bjorn Pfeiffer
  • I really enjoyed the book on your grandfather--his art work is amazing. My father was an artist (and engineer) and both my brothers are active artists. It's wonderful to have such talent in the family. (I studied piano for years, but art is just not one of my talents.) Don in Musksoka
  • Your website is really beautiful and I was glad to stumble across it. Buffalo in a Blizzard has to be my favorite! K in the US
  • I had not heard of Thomas Mower before, but very much enjoyed reading about him in this thoroughly researched biography. I checked out some of his fine and very richly coloured paintings on the internet......the considerable talent of this undervalued painter.  MJ in BC
  • Just went to your website and I think it looks fantastic. Well organized and well visually designed. Elizabeth, Vancouver Island

Here is a film clip of Martin in his Toronto studio in 1929 - he is at the 10.30 mark http://www.nfb.ca/film/sunshine_eclipse
