This is a photograph of a portrait of Martin painted by Frederic Martlett Bell-Smith when Martin was about 80 years of age in 1920, Bell-Smith died in 1928. Often Martin's artist friends had time to spare and liked paint each others portraits. This painitng one hung in the Perth Union Library until a fire destroyed it in 1886, fortunately they had this photograph of the painting.
